PanEuCOPT is a pan-European COST Action dedicated to advancing photodynamic inhibition (PDI) as a novel antimicrobial strategy. By unifying terminology, education, testing protocols, and illumination guidelines, the Action aims to generate robust, comparable data and accelerate the translation of photoantimicrobials towards clinical and regulatory acceptance as a viable alternative to conventional antibiotics.
