Lately, PanEuCOPT has been quite, but we have been working hard behind the curtains!
1️⃣ Highlights from the 1st WG3 Guidelines Meeting in Salzburg! 🧬🇦🇹
We are thrilled to share the successful conclusion of the first WG3 Guidelines meeting for COST Action CA24127, held on February 19th at the beautiful Faculty of Natural and Life Sciences, University of Salzburg.
From 9:00 to 18:00, it was a day of intensive collaboration, deep-diving into state-of-the-art protocols, and shaping the future of standardized research in microbiology. 🧪
Our goal was clear: to develop robust draft guidelines tailored to specific microorganisms. These drafts include the identification of key model organisms and BSL-1 surrogates, ensuring that our research frameworks are both rigorous and accessible.
This progress wouldn’t be possible without the expertise of our sub-workgroup leaders and representatives:
- Bacteria (Sub-WG 3.1): Prof. Adelaide Almeida (University of Aveiro, PT)
- Biofilms (Sub-WG 3.2): Prof. Joanna Nakonieczna (University of Gdansk, PL)
- Fungi & Yeasts (Sub-WG 3.3): Dr. Angelika Bauer (representing Prof. Michaela Lackner, Medical University of Innsbruck, AT)
- Viruses (Sub-WG 3.4): Prof. Anzhela Galstyan (University of Duisburg-Essen, DE)
Special thanks to Prof. Bianka Siewert (University of Hamburg, Chair of CA24124) for her insights, and to our wonderful hosts at the University of Salzburg, Dr. Linda Jernej and Prof. Kristjan Plaetzer.
🇵🇹 These drafts are just the beginning! We look forward to presenting and discussing these guidelines with all participants at the upcoming Action Congress in Aveiro, Portugal.
2️⃣ PanEuCOPT being promoted elsewhere! 🌐
Our members have taken any chance they have to promote our Action and our goals!
